photo by Momo Go at Flickr.com Thanks for sending this one, Beth. It's one of our family favorites, something Barb and I picked up when we lived in Iran where it's called, cleverly, "yogurt and cucumbers" (mast o khiar). It is so refreshing, great for a hot day. It goes well stuffed into pita bread, too. One of Barb's variations is to add raisins.
- ¾ cup yogurt
- 1 cucumber pealed and chopped
- 1 onion chopped small
- pinch of salt and pepper
- garlic powder to taste
- cumin to taste
- Mix together, chill and serve
