If you are uncomfortable flying on the current Jos-Lagos route, or for other reasons prefer to fly Virgin Nigeria from Abuja to Lagos, you will interested to know that Virgin Nigeria tickets are now available in Jos.
Clarke-Prescott Travel Agency is now authorised to issue any Virgin Nigeria ticket. You can book, pay for, and collect your ticket on the spot. There is no extra commission charged by the travel agency. L class tickets (which can be changed at no cost if you miss your flight) are N13,030 one-way for Abuja-Lagos.
Clarke-Prescott can issue Virgin Nigeria tickets for any route they fly. Clarke-Prescott (457-027 ... can someone contribute a mobile phone number?) is located at 2 Barracks Street, across from St Teresa's
Church, about 2 blocks off of Ahmadu Bello Way.
Kyle Abts adds,
If you buy Virgin Nigeria tickets from their Abuja or Lagos office at least 2 days before you fly, the price is only N10,040. You can book online and pay at the airport, too (www.virginnigeria.com). But if you try to buy the day of the flight at the airport it is N15,000.
Arik Airways is another new airline flying the Abuja-Lagos route flying out of the International terminals. You can buy at the airport for N12,000.They are an American-Nigerian partnership (I think I heard the captain on one of the flights with a distinct Texan accent). They have 3 brand new planes and their other planes are less than 5 years old. www.arikair.com
Fly on!
